Biological Exposures

In the event that you have an exposure to biological/infectious material, do the following IMMEDIATELY:

Absorption (Skin or Occular Exposure)

1. Flush eyes or skin immediately with clean water, saline, or sterile wash

2. Report the exposure to your supervisor and call the EHS Emergency Phone (404-216-5237) or GT Police (404-894-2500) 

3. Seek medical attention if necessary

Needlestick/Animal Bite

1. Wash injury with soap and warm water

2. Report the exposure to your supervisor and call the EHS Emergency Phone (404-216-5237). 

3. Seek medical attention if necessary
